Four medical and dental officers from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) University Health Services have been inducted as Members of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS) after completing their postgraduate specialist training.
The newly recognised clinicians: Dr. Kwame Adjei Akrasi in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Nana Akua Abruquah in Family Medicine, Dr. Andrea Owusu Frimpong in Maxillofacial Surgery and Dr. Cynthia Tetteh in Restorative Dentistry, represent a new wave of specialist capacity emerging from the University Hospital.
Their induction marks a significant milestone for the University Health Services, which has in recent years prioritised specialist training as a pathway to strengthening clinical care and broadening the spectrum of expertise available to the KNUST community.
Director of the University Health Services, Dr. Nana Kwame Ayisi-Boateng, described their achievement as a major boost to the hospital’s ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
